Yes. And the hope might not come true.
And so what can i do?

LLST lo!
I always find it sweet when I saw the presence of the boyfriends of my gal friends in school.
To the fact that they came down all the way just to company them to eat dinner or waited to pick them up after class.
The effort the boyfriends made for them are totally sweet.

Well, it don’t have to be “ALWAYS” but occasionally will be good too.
It will made any girl smile till their jaws dropped!

But the world is unfair.
Sweeet thing don’t happen to everyone.

Likewise I can always hope that..
Mr K, my boyfriend will have shower after his training at maju camp (next to SIM)..
Go down to King Albert’s Park Mcdonald and have Extra Value Meal..
So that he can get his Monopoly coupon and stand a chance to win Sentosa Cove(or smth.)
Then, can make his way down to SIM and pick me up after my class.

But I know that is so not going to happen.
But can I envy? No. Guys will just say girls always complain and compare.
So, I can only HOPE lo.

P.S: I am not complaining. I am just  hoping.

Xing Ji Rou Chou Mian

bahchor2

$3 Bah Chor Mee

Comment:

I prefer the one in Tai Hwa. Okay, no doubt one is dry and this is served in soup. But I still prefer the one in Tai Hwa.
The soup for this bah chor mee was tasty but it seems like there is a little too much of msg in it. I was quite thirsty and feel my lips was a little crumpled after drinking it.
I am not a fan of mee kia so shall not comment on it. But I don’t really fancy the texture. The meatball was okay. My favorite part is the generous serving of minced meat. The minced meat was actually mixed with pork lard and fried garlic. Its texture was quite soft unlike many stalls which served harder minced meat. Practically, you don’t have to chew much on the minced meat of Xing Ji. I don’t eat pork lard but I think this was actually quite tasty~
Overall it was not too bad. =)

BBQ Chicken Wing

hahahaha~the chicken wings were okok. Nothing special. Just put up to display my upgraded quality version of food photography. =p *wink*

jam

Jam Xiao Jing Teng’s Autograph Session@IMM on 7th November 09

Mr K’s idol. He thinks he is an amazing singer. Knowing that he idolizes Jam, I suggested to go down for his autograph session.
As I had class on Saturday, I was only able to make it after 630pm. Lucky enough, there was a 7pm session at IMM.
Soo….we chionged down.
Both of us were expecting a big crowd at the autograph session. The carpark was almost fully occupied.
Apparently, we had made the wrong assumption. Seemed like most people were there more for grocery shopping than there for Jam. The crowd wasn’t as big as we expected.
Jam was quite punctual. The crowd was screaming as he made his appearance and sang 2 songs.
It was rather a short singing session. Very quickly, they moved on to their autograph session.

Why only 2 songs…?
He rushing to catch a plane? I heard from Randy that he sang 3 songs at the session held in Lot’s 1.

I was busy taking video and pictures in that short singing session.
But..

I still prefer Aska Yang Cong Wei’s singing.
Jam got the talent in singing but ASka’s singing touched me more.
Hmm..maybe better in relating to my real sad love stories of the past!lol~!
But, I feel lah.
Jam was cuter last time when he just stepped into the showbiz.
His trademark for to speak “not more than 3 words” was cute.
Yes, he do speak more now. But I feel the shyness, innocence in him is gradually disappearing.

Oh well. I can’t comment much.
Finally, congratz to Jam to win the Most Popular Male Singer  award(& etc.) at Singapore Hits Award!

It all started here.

ns15

STARRING……

ns13

The Semi Big Eyed Gothic Girl~

ns10

The Witches~

ns9

The “Horny” Devils~

ns11

And the Humans Beings….

Together…

ns12

We Conquered the Horrifying Creatures..

But with many many many many many many many many many many many other human beings.
Okay. not all human beings. Some are not.

Like…

ns8

Such an adorable vampire~

Good shot & Good radar system of Rud the witch to spot such a cutie!
The fun is to spot these interesting characters and getting scared off by the “ghosts”..
But the “Not fun” part is the long waiting queue to take the tram & the drizzle.
It was super packed and everyone is pushing & cutting queue.
What to do. That’s the way Singaporeans have been living.
But we being Singaporeans, don’t allow ourselves to be bullied & squeezed our way back!
Yea..in the Aunties style~hahahahaa!
You can say we so aunties but you got to admit.
We do have “aunties” luck. The terror tram was closed due to the rain initially.
However, when it was about our turn, the terror tram was opened and we chiong to that queue.
And very quickly, we got to take the terror tram & scared the “ghosts”.
The good thing about going in with a whole group of gurls are “ghosts” will notice us and scared us.
But alot of time, I scared them back & lol. hahahhaa~
There were some ghosts everywhere to scare the public who was waiting in the queue.

Like..

ns16

His/Her eyes are HUGE!!!!!

So we have an eye glaring competition!

ns3

Roar~!!!!!

Glare.Glare.Glare.

ns4

What kind of face is that? -_-” Hmmm..I think the wandering ghost think I killed her.
If not, why glared at me. Roar~!

There were screams everywhere when these 2 appeared. But the 7 of us weren’t scared & in fact,
they entertained us very well.

The ride was okay. Since we were sitting at the last section of the tram, we got ourselves alot of
entertainment. The decorations for the terror part was quite artificial and most of the ghosts
seen during the ride were fairy tales characters like snow white. I remembered her clearly coz
I asked her to sit beside me in the tram and she did. hahahaha~

The other one is Beauty and the Beast de Beast. Really look beasty.
He roared at me. I ROARED back at him. so fun! Enjoy roaring.
Oh yes. The animals are fat & cute. hahahaha!
I really pitied the animals for that whole month. Practically, they heard screams every weekend.
If they can talk in our lanaguage, they will sure say we all siao one. Scream & scream so noisy.
LOL~~~~~!

But they are really so cute that I wished to steal one home to keep as pet.
After the tram ride, we went for the walk trail and continued our scary tales.
It wasn’t that scary as the trail was packed. There was alot of anticipation since
we kept hearing screams at the front. Thus, very auto, we will assume there’s got
to be some ghosty character at the front.

But this particular character gave me a fright.
He was in full mask costume and not moving any inch at all.
It looked fake till I asked loudly,”hey, is this real?”
As I walked next to it, it moved his head.
It made my heart jumped. hahhahaha~
Apart of that, the trail was alright.

I feel there were more interesting ghosty characters at the entrance.
ns1

Wow~nice fingers.

ns2

Poor tin man. He looked so sad, grumpy & in pain. Must be Rainus! She pressed his heart!

ns5

I don’t think she look scary.

ns14

The Aladdin man that I roared at and he got stunned by me. LOL~

ns6

Hmm..some in-prison ghost?

Besides these few, there were others “ghosts”.
The scary tales of the 7 gurls ended off early.
Want to get scared like us in the scary tales adventure?

Next year pay $35 to go lo! But do not go on the actual Halloween day itself!
It’s a fun encounter! =) Especially with my girls~
They power. In the midst of planning for Nov outing & Dec outing.

Cya~~!!! muackS!

I blogged it but it was gone!
Angry~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Abit reluctant to blog it.
Much to say, nothing much on the 2nd day~
1st Stop: Wat Chayamankalaram

Address: Lorong Burmah, 10250 Penang

As mentioned before, Penang is famous for “temples”.

In Wat Chayamankalaram, you will get to see the 3rd largest sleeping buddha.
I feel it’s quite an interesting place to visit. The whole design of the temple is fascinating enough.

penang-8

Me with sleeping buddha.

Situated opposite of this temple, there is another temple.
As for that, a visit to that temple will enrich your knowledge about buddhism.

The story of buddhism is painted on the wall ceiling itself.

Quite a sight.

penang-9

Hmmm.. everyone like to take photo with these 2 dragons. =/

After a visit to the sleeping buddha, we went to Penang Toy Museum.

Address: Jalan Tanjung Bungah in front of Copthorne Orchid Hotel

(Open daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm)

Admission: Adult : RM10 ; Children : RM6

penang-21

A museum whereby you get to see all sorts of your favorite characters/toys of different generation.

Few examples are Doraemon, Garfield, Shrek, Star War, Spiderman, Carebears and etc.
There are a wide range of collections in there.

But..

Its major weakness is…

It needs a total revamp of the place and to be more organised in their arrangement.

And change the exhibit box to non-reflective one t0 ensure good photo taken.

Well, quite disappointing.

But still enjoy a little. Why? Coz can see some of my favorite characters!!!!!!

hehe..

penang-22

My hero~~~~~

penag-1

Hehehehee~Kungfu panda~

penang-13

Cutie Jovan loves it too! ^_^

Penang-2

Gosh~The show that 7years old me never failed to watch on Saturday morning!

penang-3

Seem like that green 1-eyed monster love to take foto w me!

penang-5

Found another look alike after elmo and smurf!!!!!!!!!

penang-4

No one played with me in the museum. So can tell that I entertained myself alot. =p

P.S: The male’s toilet stinked like hell.

penang-12

Some of the collection.

penang-11

Amazingly, exhibits for “hentai” section~~~

^_^ a place to enjoy if you have a childlike personality like me.

But they seriously need to revamp the whole place….

Third Stop: Kek Loh Si Temple (Ayer Itam)

Kek Loh Si Temple is situated at the top of the hill. Getting there will require a certain mode of transportation.

penang-14

The pagoda- climb up to get a good shot of  Penang

penang-20

The inside of Kek Loh Si..just 1 part of it.

From my several visits, my conclusion is that it is best to visit during CNY when there are lightings all over the temple.
Trust me, the sight is magnificent!!!!!

We did stay for long and headed for our final stop – Tram ride @ Penang Hill

penang-15

An interesting 30mins tram ride up to the peak.

penang-17

The tram is old and stuffy.
But the weather got cooler as we went higher. Cooler due to the altitude.

Nothing much up there. Just a nice place to look for sightseeing.
But me and Celine was attracted to……..

penang-16

HENNA!

Celine got herself a butterfly~~~~look not bad!

penang-18

And guess what i got?

.

.

.

.

penang-19

A lizard!!! I thought it suits me totally!!!!!!! ^_^

Aiya..as long it is associated with “weird”, it suits me. -_-”

That’s what everyone said. roar~~~~~

See. told u nothing much in Penang right? =p
Just go there for food and relax lah.

So sorry! I have been neglecting my blog.
hehehehe..cannot help it.
There is thing that caught all my attention away from my blog.

That is…
The preparation of my trip!
U can say it’s a little bit too early but I don’t think so…
I have been researching on the food and the place to visit.
But definitely more on the food part. And Mr K researched on the shopping part.
How’s weird.
He is more keen on shopping & me on food and sightseeing.
He demanded for more shopping & poor me, have to sacrifice on some sightseeing.
But as a deal, I will have to visit all the FOOD places i intended to go even there is a need to travel far!!!!
But he gained too.
So…
As I am still excited about the trip, let me be done with the making of my little guidebook. =p
At the same time, less food entries i guess since I am saving up for the trip for SHOPPING!
5buck a day on food is my target.

LOL. I know I have not written about my penang trip day 2. =p
Just give me some time okay? =p
Apart of being excited, i felt tired. Thanks to all the packed schedule I have in my life.
Driving lesson, 4 days of school & work + tuitions.
I see a kawaii panda(yes a panda but still cute) in the mirror liao. LOL~
Not only that, I need to “act” too. Especially in my current working place to some people.
I think I am eligible to join any TV casting after months of “acting”.

So..Tony jio me if you got TV lobang ok. =p

Damn. I need to train myself to be more bitchy & haughty & nasty to deal with irritating human being at work.
I miss red dot – a friendly & fun loving place. =(

Well..i can only say…

“WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD”to myself now.

Ever since Mr K got his new Samsung touchphone, I lost my status as a girlfriend.
Don’t ask me which model as I know nut about it.
I am a complete handicap when it comes to touchphone technology.
It’s a new phone but he paid much more attention to it than to the real human being.
Yeah me the real standing up tall at 1.6m yet lose out to a small black box.

Basically, he spend more time playing with his black box. Find thing to install in it & get weirdest virus.
A virus that sent weird sms to me which he claimed he did not sent.
And in the end, he blamed me. He thinks I played with his phone and make it wacky. =/
And to add, he don’t usually or slow to reply my sms.
However, as I sms-ed him about the weird msg i got, he responded to me like immediately.

He was extremely gentle with his phone too.
He wiped it non-stop. And warned me sternly to put at the right place after playing.
Yell at me when I almost dropped it. And say “YES” to anything to save his black box.

Finally, he went around claiming his black box is the world best phone..

I want to be that black box so much.
From the start…
I don’t hear him praising me as the world best gf.
I don’t see him taking care of me in such gentle way & making sure I am at the best state.
I don’t see him yelling at someone when I was being bullied.
Most importantly, I don’t see him giving me that kind of attention.

Suck right?
That’s why I want to be that silly interactive electronic black box.

I know it has beeeeeen loooooooong since i blogged. =p
Sorry lo..was busy doing my research for my next upcoming trip!
Yipeeeee! Really excited~Just tink of the food…*droooool*

Quick Quick! Let’s go on with penang food first b4 continuing my search for the nxt trip food.

Let me test u all.
What food do you think of when u mentioned Penang?

I am sure most of you will say “Penang Laksa“!

And yes, like everyone else..
The rest would want to try or eat the best Penang Laksa.
Well, it’s a different kind of laksa that you see in Singapore.
It has prawn paste, assam fish, mostly vege & really thick yet soft white noodle.
Daniel brought us to eat Farlim Penang Laksa.
farlim

Celine’s Favorite.

I am not too sure about the address. Hmm..guess more reachable with a local bringing u there.

farlimlaksa

A nice bowl of Penang Laksa.

Comment:

Wow!I love it! I am not the usual hot lover for penang laksa. But i think this bowl of laksa is great!
It was salty, a little bit spicy & soury – sound funny but a perfect combination. Daniel stated that he usually came down just for this bowl of laksa. He loves it as it does not have a fishy taste & the taste is pleasant; not too overwhelming.

But..the Singaporeans don’t have the liking to it.
They think it tasted weird.
But I love it!!!!! 8.5/10 for me!!!!!!

Well, the rest prefer the other dish – Bak Kwa Roti

farlimbakkwa

Bak kwa roti is a simple dish whereby the bak kwa is put in between the roti + special sauce.

Comment:

I think i tasted better one. But the rest love it. The one I like has more sauce & really really really is sold along the roadside on the bike. =p Well, a simple dish but the sauce can just make u go for more without thinking of weight gain threat. =p

Next Stop.

goodall5

Goodall Coffeeshop

(Opposite of Ping Hua Nu Zi School)

Finally, somewhere that is not for tourist but locals. And of coz, better food.

goldallman1

Penang Hokkien Mee, So much better the one I had previously.

goodall4

Finally, an authentic Char Koay Teow which I don’t mind a 2nd place!

goldallman3

Tom Yam Fried Rice, quite nice.

goldallman2

Lok Bak, a similar dish to our Wu Xiang. But of coz, I feel it is nicer.

Well. Sumimasen for the bad pix. The camera me n my niece are holding are certainly not the best.
Therefore, such quality.

But good thing is..
At least you you you who are interested to visit Penang will have a better idea of what & where to eat.
Well..i will update the tourist attraction that we visited on the 2nd day….
Hmmmmmmmm….soon?

Buzz me to stop searching on my next trip!hahahhahaha~

Well..
A cross cultural occasion happened on 3rd OCtober!
Not only it was still within the Hari Raya festival, it was also the Mooncake festival!
Since it was so coincidently we had decided to meet up on that day..
Might as well celebrate both!!!!!

We met up at Syaima’s place- The usual hari raya meet up place.
Her mother was nice. She was nice too. She invited all of us to her place. =)
Fatty me was usually excited about it.
Because..her mother is a great cook & she made fabulous hari raya snacks!!!!!!!

What’s a day with great food…
Afterwhich, we had a long complaining session about our life.
Now then I know how lucky am I to work in an office than in a hospital.
Human beings are scary when it comes to competition is all I can say.

Abandoning the scary part, we headed out to play our lanterns & sparkle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, this post suppose to be in Sep.

And since it was in Sep, it is an occasion to celebrate Rud’s bdae!!!!! ^_^

rudbdae2

Rud with her durian moon”cake”. LOL~

Everytime we tried to be different in our celebration. And this time round, we havoc-ed in sentosa.
Some Jazz At The Beach caught their attention.
Nice Jazzy Music+Sea breeze+Sea wave+sand/grass+nice wine+food..sound good right?
But I was on food poisoning torture, I did not really enjoy the music.
And there wasn’t much wind & was pretty warm to the rest.
I was feeling cold. hahaha. Due to the lack of attention, I have no idea how is the music.
But thought it was a lomantic idea.

We weren’t alone. There were many other mats laying out on the grass to appreciate the jazzy music &
do evening picnic.

There aren’t much to do at evening picnic. But the idea is cosy to have a bunch of good friends sitting around
and doing nothing but enjoy.

rudbdae3

Sometime when we got a little bored..

rudbdae4

we can still play our favorite game – “A**HOLE”-a drinking game!

on this occasion!
P.S:  Good Friends are hard to come. But I am lucky. I met a bunch. And Mr K is lucky too. lol~

1. Claypot braised chicken wing rice

Rating: Unknown

Comment:

Only tried one mouth. Quite nice but only has 1 chix wing with a claypot of rice.
Quite saddening but the quantity. However, the chilli compensate all flaws.

2. Penang char koay teow

Rating: 6/10

Comment:

Very  ”Penang” authetic feeling.

3. Wow Wow West Fish & Chip

Rating: 6/10

Comment:

Huge serving & tasted not bad. But the most important is it is sold by ex-convict who turn over a new leaf.
I thought that deserve alot of courage. And so, I feel it is good to support them in thir good food business.

4. Authetic Claypot rice

Rating: 6.5/10

Comment:

Very authetic. It’s cook on the spot. I love it, especially the chaotah rice crust.
But beware, you will have to wait for around 15mins to get your food.

5. Fatty Cheong  Duck+Char siew rice

Rating: 7/10

Comment:

Delicious, Juicy & Fatty Duck Skin. The char siew was abit hard but taste sweet. Great chilli, acting as a perfect companion to the char siew and duck meat.

LOL~I din know I commented this way last time.
Well, seem like a great improvement of myself from a year ago!

I am practically sick of mooncake.
My current workplace is in the construction industry.
And to that, they work with alot, alot, alot of suppliers.
And because of that, we have alot, alot, alot of mooncake gifts.
So many that I should have do entries on mooncake tasting session.
Every entry,1 different brand of mooncake.
But my accounts side move faster that I do!!!! Once it comes, they cut n eat~

Under my estimation…
There are already at least 15 boxes being delivered & still counting…
Almost 2 to 3 boxes a day…
I tried so many till I say “NO” to them unless they are the unique kind..
Not those normal lotus flavour one..
Eventhough I am sick of mooncake, but I found my favorite &..
I bought one box of them from the Taka Mega Mooncake “Roadshow” for my maybe future in-laws..

mc1

The Fullerton Hotel Mooncake Packaging

mc2

The Fullerton Snowskin Treasures ($52/-)

It comprises of Blueberry snowskin, Cranberry snowskin, Apple snowskin & Chocolate Bailey snowskin.

mc3

The only flavour I tried & in love with— Apple Snowskin

It is not only nice to look, nice to eat but nice to smell too! The refreshing apple fragrance was so strong that I can even smell it some distance away. It tasted really good & refreshing & not a least too sweet. Something new for this year if you are sick & tired of the old lotus mooncake.

So what did Mr K get for his maybe future “in-law”?

mc5

Four Seasons Durian ($49/-)

mc4

WOOOOAH~~~!!!!Real thick layer of durian filling!!!!!!!!!

I tried abit & thought this is lovely! Sweet & fleshy! Four Seasons are so generous with their filling!
Even Mummy eat till she exclaimed happily, “Hao Hao Chi! (So Yummy!)”
Glad to see she is happy. At least can impress Mummy & earn Mr K some bonus points.
Well, I can tell alot from Mr K’s face, he is super reluctant to get those overly priced mooncake.
But still, thank you for the effort! Think about it, you pay 3buck lesser than me! ^_^

So have you get your mooncake?
If no, try Fullerton or Four seasons. They are good. ^_^

Wishing everyone an early Happy Mooncake Festival~!
